Thanks to the efforts of previous chairmans of TFTA, the association already has a good operational foundation. I hope to play a role in inheriting the past and linking the future. The TFTA Association itself is a platform, and I hope that through this platform, not only is it a platform for us to communicate and socialize within the industry personals, but also on the basis of the foundation that has been established by the previous chairmens, we can establish more extensive communication with other Fasteners associations around the world, and achieve the exchange of information of the Fastener industry,
During the epidemic period, the Fastener industry have experienced a decrease in orders and a triple jump in sea freight charges. Originally, we thought that our business operation would be able to recover after the end of the epidemic, but in 2023, the orders were unexpectedly reduced more than ever. Due to the rapid change of the world economy, the requirements of environmental protection awareness are more stringent, and the situation faced by the Fastener industry is also more severe, starting from the end of January 2024, the CBAM in Europe has to start to report carbon emissions, and from 2026, it is necessary to pay the carbon tax, and the U.S. in 2027 may also have to do so in 2027, it may be necessary to implement the CCA reporting. Green power, carbon trading and carbon tax are serious issues that we need to face. Therefore, we in the Fastener industry need to use more government resources. and the assistance of various government departments assistances.
